PIM:Imogene. Thank you for gracing PIM. . Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? Imogene: I am a simple down to earth woman with a great love for people, music and life. I was born in Kempton and have since moved all over Gauteng as well as spent some time on Cape Verde islands growing up. I’m the eldest of 3 girls with wonderful family and friends. I adore singing and reading, superbikes and being on stage.

You January 2012 Playmate in playboy South Africa. How was the Playboy experience? Playboy definitely opens the door to people and places I never thought possible. I’ve had the opportunity to be VIP and also party with some VIP’s. I’ve met some wonderful empowering women all accross the board and the team has become family to me.

How would you say PLAYBOY SA has taken on in our shores? In a Country that is still slightly conservative, Playboy has taken the illusion of “adult entertainment” and shown South Africa that we are not aiming to excite, but rather empower women and ladies of all kinds, sizes, religions, histories and languages all over the country. Playboy has been accepted and in most cases even adored by fans from all backgrounds and lifestyles. We have a bright future ahead.

Were you nervous to bare all during the shoot. How was the shooting experience and screening process. Im sure its tough hey? The screening is so much fun and during both my casting shoot as well as my Centrefold shoot the team were highly proffessional and amazingly friendly and organized. I don’t think it was as much being nervous, simply out of my skin excited!

Hows Life post Playboy? Would you say that it has jump started your modelling career?  I think it jump started my career in empowering others and perhaps and hopefully a career in fashion and people, more than simply modelling, but yes. It definitely does change your life and opens many doors to opportunities I could only dream of.

Parties. Cruises and autographs. How would you say fans have embraced you since you have been a Playmate? My fans and also Playboy fans in general have all been so gracious and wonderful to me. I am embraced and treated with respect and in some cases I am able to inspire which is the biggest reward of all.

Where to from being a Playmate of the month, I know the playmate of the year takes place.What then..meeting Hef in the mansion.:)? Playmate of the year is definitely the aim for end of this year and I hope my fans will support me in this journey as it is for them as well. After that… the sky is the limit!

What advise would you give to any model aspiring to become a Playmate? Playboy is a lifestyle, not just another magazine and being a Playmate definitely embodies that. Any aspiring Playmates must be comfortable, self assured as well as self confident in being a strong wonderful woman. What’s a day in the life of Imogene Meyer. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? Currently I am a Data Administrator for a UK company based here in SA. I’m responsible for managing my database and making sure Account Managers are happy.  I’m also looking out for more and new business opportunities as well as something in the people direction more than IT.

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers? My beauty is very simple. I believe your face should have at least 1 rest day a week without any makeup or powder. Keep drinking water and never overdo with make up. Sometimes understated is much more than overdone. We always think the more exspensive something is, the nicer it will look. Truth be told, you can be beautiful and glamorous on a budget any day!

Rooibos tea is an amazing exfoliator as well as an anti-oxidant very often missed in our weekly routine…

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? I’m Afrikaans and adore cooking. My ultimate dinner would be:

1. Starters: Salticrax topped with Philedelphia cream cheese, add a dollop of sweet chilli, then pop on a piece of biltong and a think slice of strawberry. Sprinkle a little black pepper and serve…

2. Mains: A fillet butterflied and laid overnight in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, thyme, basil, rosemare a touch of garlic and some red wine. Grill this to Med-rare on an open flame and serve with a creamy mash and a light green salad.

3. Desert: Some fruit salad and ice cream followed by….(the rest is censored and reserved )

Oh Wow. PIMS hungry now Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry/I phone/smartphone? My world would end! I stay in touch with my fans, friends and family every day and even more so due to travelling between 2 cities weekly. I won’t survive without it!

What do you prefer on a guy.Boxers or Briefs? Briefs, more definition. Would also be even sexier if they had the Playboy bunny on them

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why? Our country has some of the most amazing sights and friendliest people. We cater to every like and dislike, every type and taste. We allow tourists to feel at home and very often make friends for life. Working with UK clients I have heard countless times how they wish to come back ever so often to spend time in the warm hospitality of our country. This is my home and I will always be Proudly South African.

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? I am dying to do a burlseque shoot in a real theatre… Stockings, garters, music, mics and some of the most amazing photographers all around. On the flip side I am also dying to do a shoot on a beach with white sand and cocktails, bikini’s and brilliant blue waters… Paradise

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? For me the sexiest part of a man is hands and bum. Blue eyes are also absolutely irrisistable. On me…I believe my eyes are the windows to my being and very often the compliments lead to them…

Favourite brand and colour of Lingerie? I love the Playboy lingerie they stock in Edgars, but also adore the more exclusive service and lingerie I get from my friend Ruby at Ludique Lingerie. She has the most amazing corsets…

Favourite Holiday Destination: At the moment Cape Town, nothing like a good red wine, a fireplace in the hotel room and some amazing company to share it with.

Whats your take on friends with Benefits.? I believe to each his own, for some the arrangment might work and for others it might not. As long as when you make this descision you do not close the door to the possibility of one of the two getting hurt and never forget to be proactive and healthy in how you go about it.

If you could be anyone famous,Who would you want to be and why? I would want to be me, just famous… I love and adore so many celebrities and those that have used their fame to help and do charity work has inspied me to build the same legacy.

Did you ever get propositioned by any famous Chap? I’ll say yes, but a lady never tells…

How would you rate urself as a romantic? I’m a hopeless romantic. Old movies, red roses, perfume and lingerie… I believe every day should have a little love in it.

Whats your opinion about Lady Gaga? She has an amazing voice and definitely knows how to work the PR aspect of her career. I do prefer her early days a bit more to her current work, but she definitely has made a huge success of her work and her persona. Inspirational on that level for sure

Whats the most outrageous thing you have have ever done? Bungee jumped, slide of courage, gotten my tattoo without telling a soul, cutting my hair with clippers in High School.

Are you single? Sorry boys, this lady is taken. However I also love making new friends.

What’s your ideal man? My ideal man is patient, curteous, gentle, blue eyes, nice hands, cute bum and also let’s me be who I am and supports me irrespective of how crazy or elaborate it may seem. He understands my crazy female brain and tries to keep up with the insane lifestyle I have due to not being able to sit still for a moment. His love is kind and gentle and has no ultimatums or restrictions.

If PIM had to take Imogene on a date. What would we have to do to blow your socks off lol? You’ll have to get to know me and figure that out yourself. A few tips: Caramel vodka, a beach, a theatre show and summers breeze by candle light…

Where will we see you next(magazine /publication/tv?

I’m hoping to get into radio and TV. Still working on finding that door to open the possibilities. I’m also looking to get my singing back on track and perhaps even get into fashion later on.

Anne: It’s an absolute pleasure.  Well, I’m a 24 year old part-time model based in Johannesburg who loves beautiful things – music, books, art and design.  I’m really interested in the indie music, film and fashion scene.

How has modelling been treating you lately. Any nice shoots or jobs. Care to share some? I’m not sure if I’m allowed to share which companies I’ve shot for since the shoots haven’t been released yet but I recently did a catalogue shoot, shot for the Face of Cirrus Aircraft Campaign and Harley Davidson Johannesburg, appeared in the November 2011 issue of FHM, participated in a Brutal fruit fashion/swimsuit show with Roxy Louw in December 2011 and I made the FHM Top 100 Models for 2012.

What’s a day in the life Of Anne Putter. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? I recently submitted my English Master’s dissertation, so that has taken up most of my life for the past two years. I’ve also been working as an English tutor at the University of Johannesburg since 2008 and obviously modelling helps to pay the bills as well.

What are your Health and beauty secrets? Any tips for our readers? I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to health and beauty. No fancy creams or gyms.  I love doing Yoga and Pilates and I also enjoy dancing to keep fit and stress-free. I like to eat healthy most of the time, I’m a vegetarian so I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and I wouldn’t survive without herbal teas and water.

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? This is pretty embarrassing but I’ve only just recently started cooking for myself. Obviously I cook mostly vegetarian stuff but I can make a mean batch of nachos! Would you be happy with that?

Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry? Ah! Heaven! I’d sit outside in my hammock and read in absolute technology-free bliss.

Why should anyone visit SA? What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why? South Africa’s cities are the most interesting and beautiful cities in Africa. Personally I think inner-city Johannesburg would be the best place to visit because of all the up and coming developments taking place. There are great little coffee shops popping up and places like Arts on Main and 77 Juta Street are really unique places showcasing South African art, culture and design.

Your dream shoot.Pick a location, a theme? I’d love to do something androgynous in the city with a mix of really run down buildings as well as modern skyscrapers.

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? For guys, I think a strong jaw is really sexy. On me, I like my hands and neck.

What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you? One evening I was standing outside a bar with some friends and some random guy offered to take me home. He said that the friends I was with didn’t look trustworthy and that he could get me home safe. It was very strange and uncomfortable and made me feel anything but safe.

What’s your favourite fashion brand: I’m not a die-hard brand fan but I love Jason Wu and Rag and Bone.

Favourite food: Cheese!

Favourite perfume on a guy: I have no idea, just smell good like you’ve just showered or washed your hair.

Favourite Perfume on you: Estee Lauder Pleasures

Favourite clubbing and Hangout? I’m addicted to music festivals, eg: Oppikoppi, Ramfest, Rocking the Daisies/Gardens and I really enjoy going anywhere where there’s a good live band playing.

Favourite desert: Lindt Chilli chocolate.

Dream Car: Something simple. I’m not too concerned as long as it’s safe. Perhaps a A Mini Cooper.

If you could be anyone famous, who would you want to be and why? Alexa Chung because she has the loveliest fashion sense and gets to wear such pretty clothes.

What do you think of Playboy South Africa ? It’s not for me.

Whats your opinion about Lady Gaga? I think it’s wonderful how she changes society’s perception about power and beauty and continues to push the boundaries in terms of her style and performance but I’m not a big fan of her music.

Whats the most outrageous thing you have have ever done? I once spent 24 hours in Paris in the winter with no plans to sleep anywhere and very little money.

What’s your ideal man? My ideal man is someone with a kind heart, who treats all people equally and would do anything and everything possible to achieve what he believes in, no matter the obstacles and amount of effort needed. Brains, ambition and unconditional love are sexy.

If PIM had to take J on a date. What would we have to do to blow your socks off lol? To impress me, we’d have to do something very different. Dinner dates are a snooze fest. I think when a guy shares something he’s interested in and organises a date around that or suggests doing some sort of art or cooking class together, you get to learn more about each other and it’s super fun.

Any nice shoots or jobs.Care to share some?Modeling has been treating me very well since 2009 when I got to shoot for the Locally Whipped calendar for 2010 and from there it was one thing after another, Was top 100 FHM 2010, Top 15 Sports Illustrated 2010, Rapport Model –Miss November 2012, Wine Laid Bare 2010 & 2011 Its for Cancer Awareness  and something’s in between not really keeping track.

What’s a day in the life Of Nola. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? Well im a Special Projects Officer meaning I bring in the business for my company by submitting tenders it’s a bit hard to explain what I do exactly…. All I can say it’s a lot of hard work and daily deadlines.

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers? There is no secrets at all…. You are what eat…. Does that count? I try stay healthy by going to the gym as often as I can and I have a big love for food so no diet really I just try to eat as healthy as I can during the week and weekends is like a eat all you want buffet, my tip is :  Body wise –  If you want it, work for it nothing comes easy and you are what you eat!

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? Um honestly I have been lacking in that department a bit…. But I know I make a killer Pasta!

Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry?My Black Berry. I’ll have the Blue Berries for sure!!! Can’t go without my daily tool!

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why?I really think SA have so much to offer tourism wise,  I think we have the best nature and also the best coasts…. My best place to visit in SA is all around the North Coast and why…. I really just love the north coast, its mostly private beaches nature and yourself!  It’s really relaxing and takes you away from all the noise and busy days.  I LOVE THE COAST!!!!!!

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? Well I have had the privilege to go shoot my “Dream Shoot” on an Island (Mauritius) not too long ago for a Calendar (Rapport Model Calendar)

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys?The sexiest part of my Body I’ll have to say is my stomach or my full rounded bottoms. And for Guys I’ll have to say if they just look fit or like they work out it’s a pass from me But I do love sexy Pecks….

How big is the SI comp for models? I see it as one of the biggest achievements a swimsuit model can reach, I was lucky to have made it to the top 15 last year and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had! The shoot was in Cape Town and everything was just amazing! And its all a big Thank You to all the people that supported and voted for me!!! Its a big dream for lots of girls

What’s a day in the life Of Bianca. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? Well this year I finished my matric year of school! Next year I will be studying at TLC (Travel Learning Centre) and will hopefully do a course in make up after that!! At the moment I am on holiday so I just laze around and play Plants vs. Zombies!!

What are your Health and beauty secrets? Any tips for our readers? Well I don’t gym , I’m pretty sure my contract with the gym has expired- woops. I don’t eat very healthy either.. I eat take out outs probably 5 days a week! Its really bad! The one thing I do do is drink A LOT of water!

What Hobbies do you Have.? Well my new hobbie is playing Plants vs. Zombies. Wow I am addicted! I played for 6 hours straight the other day!

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why? South Africa is a beautiful country with a variety of cultures that people can learn from. I would have to say people should visit Hermanus in the Western Cape province. Its my second home. No words can describe how beautiful that place is!

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? I would LOVE to do an implied nude shoot on the stunning beaches on Cayman Islands!

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? My blue eyes! The sexiest part on a guys body is there lips! They just have to have that perfect smile when your lips pull away from theirs hehe!

Young aspiring models should never give up! They should always try have a friend or family member supporting them. It is a very tough and bitchy industry. Keep your nose up high and don’t look down at the people that criticise you.

Are you single? What’s your ideal man?I’m taken and very in love with Dean Bowker, he is MY ideal man!

Other than doing fashion shows, Its brought me up close & personal with a few SA celebs such as the Parlotones & Prime circle, and I have upcoming shoots with Graphic Art to add new pics to my FHM portfolio so I’m looking forward to that. Iv also had recent shoots with Clear Vision Photography that I got awesome shots from!

What’s a day in the life Of Tracy. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living?At the moment I’m studying business management, and plan to work next year. Modelling brings me extra money, but as a dancer I make most of my money through being a dancer

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers?An hour or so before breakfast, have a cup of hot water with lemon and honey. Its speeds up your metabolism and is very healthy for your body!Also, steaming your face with hot water. Steam opens your pores nicely. Use face masks, evan home made one’s! That include Avo, oats, yoghurt, strawberrys and egg whites

Ive seen the dancers at Latinova. Geez you have to be fit and agile.Care to tell us about your training or practice routine.From Diet to Exercises.
Ha ha yes it definatly keeps me fit! And its tons of fun. Best way of excercise is definatly dancing. I don’t really believe in diets. I’m more of a believer in “everything in moderation”.

Canyou Cook?I’m not much of a good cook. But I can bake?

What would you make PIM? I’d probably make PIM pizza.. And then cupcakes ha ha

It is tough! Its not easy. You got to be able to take critisim! Its also what you make of it.. Especially if you do pageants. If you more worried about winning all the time than what the actual experience brings you’re always going to be left disapointed.
My advice to girls would be to, persevere, and with beauty pageants always remember – just because you didn’t win, doesn’t mean you didn’t deserve too. And when you do win, it will be one of the most amazing feelings

What’s your ideal man?My Ideal man is someone who is honest, a gentlemen and who has compassion & a sense of humour. Guys who take themselves and their looks too seriously, and who are arrogant is a definate turn-off.

If you had to whisk up a quick Indian Dish for PIM, What would it be?WOW! I would love to say that I’m a pro in the kitchen but that would be the biggest lie! How has the modelling Industry ,present that is had an impact on the Indian Community and aspiring Indian models. With the bevy of Beauties in Bollywood, and the resurgence of Bollywood Im sure many aspiring Indian woman want to emulate these stunning actresses?I think that as an Indian many people expect me to limit myself in this Industry but I am a modern girl of the 20th Century. Ive been raised with good morals and values and I dont do anything without the approval and support of my parents. Bollywood actresses are unbelievably stunning but many girs need to remember that they have proffesional make up artists, costume designers, hairstylists and photographers who help make them looks this way. I think many girls feel pressured to constantly look ‘beautiful’ but we’re all amazing just they way we are! “If perfect’s what you’re searching for, then just stay the same” Amen, Bruno!
