PIM:Mauneen Thank you for gracing PIM. All the way from Cape Town. Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? Mauneen: In a nutshell: Quirky-cheesy kinda gal who loves making people laugh! I literally am an energizer bunny after consuming sugar (my kryptonite). I always have a million things going on, so I’m easily distracted. I love life and always challenging myself to keep things exciting! I’m spontaneous, busy, balsy and down right crazy when you catch me on a good day.

What’s a day in the life of  Mauneen.How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? I work at VW by day, freestyle dancer/ model by night :)

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers? I’m a very low maintenance girl, like to keep it simple. So healthy eating and regular exercise will keep you in tiptop shape.

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? I don’t believe in spending much time in front of the stove (quick meals). My typical meal would be chicken and McCain 2min steamed veg haha (but for PIM I’ll sneak in a take-away and pretend it was me)

Aw thats sweet.Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry/I phone/smartphone? Lost haha… the only time I part from my Blackberry is when I’m in the shower.

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why? Our diverse culture is enough to get anyone excited…Cape Townhas my heart

Playboy South Africa’s Playmate of the Year 2012

PIM: Jade Fairbrother. Thank you for gracing PIM. . We are proud to feature Playboy South Africa’s first ever Playmate of the Year 2012.

Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? I am a Southern suburbs lass that was born and raised in Cape Town. With 25 years under my belt, I am doing everything I can to make a lasting imprint on this planet before my time is up. I am a grounded individual whom many love and some love to hate. I am a free spirit with a cunning wit. I like my spoiled lifestyle – the conditioning of an only child upbringing. I am a photographic model that has done some runway work, as well as acting, while also being a brand ambassador. I am better known for being Playboy South Africa’s Miss September 2011 and of late the first ever Playmate of the Year for 2012; and soon to be the main star in my own reality TV show.

So winning the title must have been special. It was a tough field. How was the Playboy experience firstly? It has been a life changing experience no doubt! When I first cast to be a Playmate last year, I had no anticipation that this is where I would be six months later. Initially when becoming a Playmate, there was only on other in Cape Town – as the brand was fairly new. Most things were a learning curve for us all, but now we are seasoned pros and life is ever so glamorous. Everything has been better than expected and I am so glad I took the leap of faith and joined the Playboy family.

Describe the feeling when the winner was announced early this year? None of us knew when exactly we would find out who the final winner was. We all merely knew that the Playmate of the Year shoot was happening in late January, which meant that after voting closed on the 15th of January, it would be a mere few days before the winner herself knew. As I had been leading in the votes for more than a month, I was hopeful that I would be the ultimate winner. It was merely the confidence of the other girls which made me uncertain.

This proved unnecessary because I received the call to inform me that I had been chosen the winner. Upon hearing my phone, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the call come in from ‘Mother Playboy’.  I actually just let it ring a few times before having the courage to answer it. I tried to remain calm but once I heard the words that I’d won, I let out a girlish squeal and then seriously questioned if the decision was final; and whether or not this was a joke. Once satisfied with the legitimacy and many repetitive thank you’s, I called my then fiancée and cried the outcome down the line. Although it was to remain a secret; the childish grin on my face gave it away to a few knowing colleagues.

How would you say PLAYBOY SA has taken on in our stores? Currently I don’t believe that Playboy SA is stocked widely enough – there is still a stigma about the magazine which we are constantly working to dispel. Hopefully we will at some time see this top selling men’s magazine in all family grocers. For individuals who are based more inland where it would be harder to obtain the magazine, we suggest the online subscription.

Were you nervous to bare all during the shoot? How was the shooting experience and screening process? I’m sure it’s tough hey? I was extremely nervous before my casting shoot; I didn’t know what to expect – which is what freaks me out the most with all things. On arrival and meeting everyone, I calmed down drastically and soon enough was as comfortable as being with old friends. I am not a shy person and do not have insecurities about my body – so the thought or act of being naked in front of others is not an issue for me. For my actual Playmate shoot, I was fine, it was the extras (as Springbok supporters) that took a while to calm down and get used to a completely naked girl standing in front of them.

How’s Life post Playboy Playmate of the Year? Would you say that it has jump started your modeling career and tell us some of the perks of winning the title of Playmate of the Year. Will you be featured in Playboy International? Oh do tell….PIM is dying to know! Posing for Playboy South Africa certainly has opened up a world of possibilities for me; of course the title of Playmate of the Year has pushed things to another level! Many of the things I have done since and in the pipeline are spin-offs from being featured in Playboy South Africa. I have hopes of being featured again here locally as well as in other Playboy publications internationally. Time will tell…

Parties, cruises and autographs; How would you say fans have embraced you since you have been named Playmate of the Year? It is all so fantastic. Throughout my journey I have had loyal and steadfast supporters. Once I started campaigning for the Playmate of the Year title my following grew even more. Since obtaining this prestigious title, my fans on Facebook and followers on Twitter has grown astronomically – I have the most fans and followers of all the South African Playmates. Everyday there are dozens who join my journey. I love every bit of it including their supportive comments and messages. At events and signings I always get compliments and positive feedback; I love meeting new people and being social. Before this I couldn’t of imagined anyone wanting my autograph, nowadays I can sign up to 300 magazines for one single event; even my day job employers send autographed copies of my magazines to their clients. These days I even get recognized while driving or doing monthly shopping.

Where to from being a Playmate of the Year? When is the meeting with Hef? Can PIM Tag along (wink). Being Playmate of the Year is a lifelong title that will be with me always. For this year, however, I will be the leading brand ambassador for Playboy South Africa. I enjoy this role and will fulfill it to the best of my ability – being a role model for the other ladies and helping Playboy SA reach new heights. My trip to LA is scheduled for later this year, around October, whereby I will be visiting the Playboy Mansion and Hugh Hefner. My intention is to extend this trip to explore the possibilities for me there and to experience as much as I can.

PIM has an autographed copy. How was the shoot for Playmate of the Year? The pictures are gorgeous! Thank you very much! I thoroughly enjoyed this shoot and the entire trip to Zambia. Being in the wild is always a new and exciting experience. The shoot was amazing, I love the way there is such a contrast of difference between my Miss September shoot and that for Playmate of the Year. I think it shows my diversity; different sides of me (excuse the pun). The pictures came out beautifully! The team I worked with are terrific; they were in fact, the same team from my Miss September shoot.

What advice would you give to any model aspiring to become a Playmate? I have had many messages from girls in this regard already. I always say the same thing; if you want to do it then you must otherwise you will only have regret – but you need to give it your all as nothing just falls into your lap. Girls need to be in good shape and look after themselves. They need to be sure they are doing this for the right reasons and most importantly that they are doing it for themselves. I would also always recommend that they speak to their loved ones and get their feelings/opinions and support before proceeding. It is understandable that not everyone will be in consensus to proceed; however, you will never be a total success if you do not even have the basic support of your partner. The girls need to cast, they need to bring their A game! The more popular the magazine gets, the harder it will be to be picked as a Playmate as the competition will continue to get better and better. My experiences along are enough for me to advocate that more ladies should be willing and open to pose for Playboy SA.

 

Playmate of the Year is about the votes. What did the Jade Fairbrother camp do to muster those votes? Care to tell us about your PR Campaign? It wasn’t only about the votes – although that was a large deciding factor – and yes, I had the most and I won by a large margin. I worked day in and day out and well into the night on my campaign…from the start right up until the last second! I never gave up although at times I wanted to. I shed tears during my campaign just at the thought of not winning – thank goodness for my unwavering support system! Work came to a standstill as I spent all my hours on Facebook and Twitter canvassing votes. I sent dozen of signed magazines to fans whom voted for me a a great deal. I had personal inbox messaged all my Facebook friend and Twitter follower to vote for me; I corresponded with them all personally. I had to emphasis the importance of the online vote and motivate people to complete that vote. Soon enough I had fans messaging me every day with the amount of votes they had sent off. I had a voting party out in Hermanus which was a huge success. I lead in the votes for over four weeks in a row towards the end of the voting. Being chosen as Playmate of the Year also means that I have the look and body that Playboy feels is best to represent the brand and South Africa on an international level; this would also include, but not be limited to, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as intellect.

What’s a day in the life of Jade F? How do you pay the bills, what do you do for a living? I work full time as an Executive PA and Office Manager for an online processing company in the mother city. This keeps me busy and out of trouble during the week day. Everything else I micro manage into my schedule, whether that means taking time off or doing it after hours or on the weekends. I seldom find that I have free time, but I am not complaining – I love what I am doing and am seizing every opportunity with both hands! I have many avenues of income, so bills are not much of a concern, I am just having fun.

What are your health and beauty secrets? Any tips for our readers? Well, they say you are what you eat, but I have never really believed that as I eat anything I feel like. I am just blessed with a petite frame and a fast metabolism. Of course I am not waiting for that to pack up before I get into gear, so I am sure to keep hydrated with plenty of water and I ensure that my cooking is healthy and contains all the items one requires with necessary nutrients. I train once a week with a personal trainer at ‘360° Specialized Training’ and then do my own pilates work outs at home when I feel inspired.

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? I am a terrific cook thanks to my mom -she always said that no decent man marries a woman who can’t cook. I love to cook and I do so almost every night at home, so there is just about nothing I can’t cook. The choice would be yours, but if it was a surprise, I would do a world class roast with all the trimmings!

Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry/Iphone/Smartphone? Miserable, I have found myself in this exact situation at the moment. My iPhone hasn’t yet arrived and my current Blackberry is broken. It is a complete disaster. I hate being out of touch and out of the loop. I am online all day every day, so being caught without my phone makes me feel like I am trapped in the Stone Age! Everyone thinks I am ignoring them or am not well because I am so quiet – which is not the case at all – I am always very active on social media through my phone.

What do you prefer on a guy; Boxers or Briefs? Briefs, I like things to be tight on my man because it shows off his good physique better.

Why should anyone visit SA? What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and why? All people should visit SA because we really need to abolish some of the ridiculous assumptions and stereotypes that people have of Africa and all of us – it’s laughable really! People should desire to visit SA and Cape Town specifically, we have so much to offer here and it is so beautiful. I wish I could earn R10 for every time I have heard a foreigner point out how lucky we are – we are truly best. We have great climate and the best of the sun, sea and mountains. You will never be short of things to do in this buzzing city! I have travelled quite extensively nationally and out of all the places – I still feel that Cape Town is the most inviting and beautiful – there is no place like home!

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? I do not have a particular shoot concept that I am more in favour of doing over another. I love being in front of the camera whether acting, presenting or modeling. As long as I am doing what I love, I wouldn’t mind what it is for or what the theme is. I do however have some preferences of magazines I would love to be featured in, but I am working on those.

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? I like a built chest on a man, strong and buff. I really like my long hair and green eyes; I always get compliments! My bum is also tight and cute. I also can’t complain that my toes are all perfectly in line…

What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you? Guys do not use pick up lines on me, firstly because most of them know I am off the market but secondly and I think predominantly because they are too intimidated to actually try. Most guys are quite shy and taken aback when they first meet me. They tend to let me do all the talking and just take it all in, once they get comfortable, then I find conversations flow far more easily, but by then they would know better than to embarrass themselves like that.

What’s your favourite fashion brand? I have not stuck myself with merely one fashion brand, I have good shopping days when everything looks great and they have my size and other days when things don’t quite work out. For that reason I always shop around to pick and choose items of my fancy from which every boutique necessary. I must say though, shoes are a big love for me – I find that Aldo shoes just speak to my soul.

Favourite food? I absolutely love a roast whether it be chicken, lamb or pork – that is my ultimate. I am more of a savoury person than a sweet tooth because chocolate gives me migraines. My favourite cuisine would have to be Italian because it is just awesome! I love carbohydrates! And potatoes are my best friends…

Favourite perfume on a guy? I love the smell of Axe deodorant, it always has such a distinctive smell. Otherwise Jean Paul Gaultier is very nice.

Favourite perfume on you? I always where Coco Chanel Mademoiselle, I love it and get complimented on it all the time, it just really works for me!

Favourite clubbing and hangout? I like fine dining and dancing so Pigalle would be first prize although I can have dinner at any good restaurant and go to Deco Dance for a good shake down. I find these days that I am beyond the loud baseline of nightclubs where I can’t even have a decent conversation over the house music.

Favourite dessert? Malva pudding with ice-cream and custard, why have only one when you can have it all? I also like jelly and peaches.

Dream car? I go through phases. I find that my favourite is always something I want at the time. I remember when I was in love with the Mini Cooper and then Audi – it is always something realistic. The moment I saw the new Mercedes C Coupe I just fell in love with it. After some pining about it I decided to order myself one. So it is going to be a dream come true shortly!

One wish you would like to come through? I don’t really have dreams, I have goals. I set them no matter how far away they seem and I keep working towards them until they are achieved. There is never been anything they I have wanted and not got – I make sure I get everything I want no matter how hard I have to work for it!

A quote that you always live by? I don’t really have one. I go through phases where certain sayings or quotes are relative to what I am going through or experiencing. They change periodically.

Favourite brand and colour of lingerie? Candy Fox lingerie has some really sexy pieces which I just adore; their items always make me feel sexy!

Favourite holiday destination? I like to be in the sun, so preferably where it is hot, like Mauritius. I would go back every year if I had the choice.

What’s your take on friends with benefits? That very rarely lasts in the long run and almost always ends up with someone getting hurt. I think it is a bad idea on all accounts. Two people wouldn’t enter into something like that if one of them didn’t already fancy the other, which will only end in heartache.

If you could be anyone famous, who would you want to be and why? I am on that ladder and climbing vigorously, so for right now I am happy just being me. I’m ready to see where this is going to go…

Did you ever get propositioned by any famous Chap? Not someone famous but I have been propositioned by plenty by wealthy older men. I always turn them down, but it never deters them.

How would you rate yourself as a romantic? I would rate myself high. I love going the extra mile and making my loved one feel like the one thing that matters – like no one else comes close. Of course while being a romantic, I love nothing more than being romanced too.

What’s your opinion about Lady Gaga? I don’t have much of an opinion on her; some of her music is catchy and I like it, some of it is dribble and I can’t stand it. Her as an individual is a bit bizarre, but hey – everyone to their own.

What’s the most outrageous thing you have ever done? So many, but they are secrets… so if I told you, I’d have to… ;)

Are you single? No, I got married just over two months ago, so unfortunately for some men out there, they missed that boat. Although I still get offers oddly enough…

What’s your ideal man? I married my ideal man. He is intelligent and intellectual; ambitious, successful and brave; funny and kind; attractive and committed, all while being my best friend and a great lover.

If PIM had to take Jade Fairbrother on a date, what would we have to do to blow your socks off? You would have to go all out, the full nine yards. I have been treated like royalty, so it will take a lot to top that!

Where will we see you next (magazine /publication/TV)? From time to time I will be featured in Playboy South Africa under the ‘Playmate Corner’ section of the magazine. I may also appear iin the 60th Anniversary edition. A picture of mine will also be featured in the Playboy Netherlands magazine this month. I am constantly looking for new opportunities so you never know; there are a few magazines I would love to be featured in. I have also recently been offered my own reality TV show, so that is going to bring a whole new aspect to my life!

PIM: What’s a day in the life of  Marie Lourens .How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? Marie: My day starts with a sweet cup of strong, yummy english tea with real sugar (3 sugars -if I may add) and LOTS of milk!!!!mmmm…  For breakfast I have oats that are soaked in milk and drizzled with honey!! I then whisk myself off to gym on my 110cc scooter, break a sweat, chill in the sauna,enjoy a relaxing massage shower and off to go play waitress in the evenings in Camps Bay!!!! :P

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers? VITAMINS!!!!! lots of  water and at least a walk every day. Sleeping for at least 6-8 hours is also recommended!!!

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner?  Oh yes, I can cook up a STORM!!!!! The more messy the kitchen, the tastier the food! I believe you should cook with passion!!!! Be creative and just let loose!!! For dinner I would roast a chicken, stuffed with onion, garlic, rosemary, thyme, a few pieces of orange zest and a sweet chill creamed cheese. Sprinkled onto would be a hint of olive oil, glazed with apricot jam and surrounded by potato wedges. It will be served with rice and creamy Broccoli…..yum, my tummy is growling…

Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry/I phone/smartphone? I don’t own any of the above and am quite sleazy when it comes to carrying my phone around the whole day!!! It is probably the thing that upsets people the most, no-one can ever get hold of me :)

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why ?It is the most beautiful country in the world! I work with tourists on a daily basis and 90% of them are astonished at how beautiful it is and the diverse elements that it has to offer! From cosmopolitan lifestyle to safari as well as the ocean and all the cultures and languages. The best place to visit, in my opinion, is Cape Town. The variety of offerings is so diverse. We have the ocean, the mountain, wine lands, farming comunities, fishing comunities, the coastline and the cosmopolitan city right in the centre.

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? My dream shoot would be to be styled for a upmarket cheeky clothing campaign.

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? My body, I’d say my neck :) A guy’s body: A guy’s legs have to be well built with big calves and strong thighs…

What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you? “Do pick-up lines work on you?” Hahahahahaha, to today we are best of friends :D

What’s your favourite fashion brand: This is a difficult answer, because I love, love, love to raid second-hand shops! I love small boutique shops with hand-made clothing and love supporting the local designers.

Favourite food: SPICY AND FLAVORFUL! Asian, Indian, Portuguese, etc etc! anything that has a pepper or chilli in the recipe! I love ALL kinds of food!

Favourite perfume on a guy: I like a sweeter scent on a guy… I don’t like herby or ocean scents on men.

Favourite Holiday Destination: Anywhere in green nature with a water featuring and no cellphone signal with gass as electricity and only water from a natural spring…heaven.

Whats your take on friends with Benefits.? This is a tricky question as it is not safe to just have benefits with almost anyone. If it were to happen that you find someone that you can benefit from, it needs to be someone that you really trust. I am personally a relationship kind of girl. One guy. :)

If you could be anyone famous,Who would you want to be and why? Angelina Jolie. She is absolutely beautiful with a heart of gold! I love her tattoos and all the changes that she has gone through throughout her career.

Did you ever get propositioned by any famous Chap? Mike Love from the beach boys were here in 2011 and as a waitress I had the privilege of serving them on their last night in Cape town :D hahaha, he was such a charmer!!!!! If I were but a bit older…

What do you think of  Playboy in South Africa? I have been offered to cast for them numerous times… I have not really made my mind up as yet, but they do have their positives and negatives :)

Are you single? Single, that I am indeed. I was in a 3year relationship and now I am finding my feet and prioritizing according to what is important to me as Marie.

What’s your ideal man? I’d love to say tall, dark and handsome, hahaha…but they have mostly proven that looks can be deceiving, hahaha. My ideal man is taller than I am, leads a balanced lifestyle, no jealousy and well mannered. I hate clinginess, but love to be loved and cared for. He has to be the kind of man thats hard to get, but knows that I am a rare find and shows it :) I love public affection and being noticed for my perfume.

If PIM had to take Marie  on a date. What would we have to do to blow your socks off lol? hahaha… a good selection of wine is a great first impression! I love blue cheese as a starter and  a bloody bleau fillet would be my highlight of the night!!!

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why South Africa’s scenic wonders are legendary. From Table Mountain to God’s Window, our mountains, forests, coasts and deserts will feast your eye and lift your spirit…

Best place to visit and why? Kruger National Park because it is Africa’s oldest established wildlife park (1898) and offers one of the best safari experiences in Africa… im a nature and wild life lover!!

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? Titsikama at the waterfall in my bikini and between the rocks.. “baywatch” theme hehe

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? Sexiest part of my body: Legs, boobs and my eyes Guys body: most definitely a “V-line” and his shoulders

If you could be anyone famous,Who would you want to be and why? I would choose to remain myself… it seems like everyone else is just so dull. I don’t think of myself as spectacular, by any means… it’s just that if I could be anyone I wanted, what would be the point? I know myself best.  If anything, I want to make myself a better person, and have the satisfaction of knowing I made myself better through a process. That way, I can enjoy who I am and who I have become… I think if I was someone else, it would be wasted because I wouldn’t appreciate myself, because I did nothing to get there.

Whats the most outrageous thing you have have ever done? This one is a tad more embarrassing than it is outrageous… I put fuel in my car at the petrol station – went in and paid and got back in the …….WRONG CAR ……there was a woman in the passenger seat starting at me.. I looked out of the window and saw my car…we never spoke to each other – I just got back out and wondered over to my car.

What do you think of  Playboy in South Africa? What’s rather cool about the whole Playboy SA casting process is the fact you’ll be able to purchase copies of your casting interview and photos taken on the day along with a cool limited edition Playboy SA t-shirt. You see, they really care about you too!

Are you single? Nope

What’s your ideal man? He will be a brilliant conversationalist, sensitive, kind, understanding, loving and a very hard working man. A man of emotional and physical strength, almost as smart as Einstein but look like Enrique Iglesias ;)

PIM:Yolandi. Thank you for gracing PIM. . Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? yolandi: I’m a 25 year old model, Playmate and brand ambassador from Cape Town. I haven’t been in the industry for long, but I’ve done everything from gracing Playboy South Africa’s pages, to magazines in the UK, to posing for Breast Cancer Awareness, appearing in music videos, presenting work, runway and shooting for brands like YDE! This is only the beginning! I am ambitious, passionate and I love marketing, wine and laughter!

The July Edition was special and a landmark in SA. Could you have chosen a better month.You were the July 2011 Playmate in playboy South Africa . How was the Playboy experience? Yes, it was a big thing when Playboy launched in April last year, especially with Tracy McGregor on the cover. We are slowly but surely changing all the outdated mindsets of the conservatives and the proof is in Playboy SA’s fast growing audience! I’m very proud to be a part of the biggest publication in the world and carry my prestigious title! I love being Miss July and even more so because it’s my birthday month.

How would you say PLAYBOY SA has taken on in our shores? It was received with open arms. No offence to other magazines, but they’re all the same. Girls in lingerie. Girls in bikinis. So here’s a magazine that only features 3 girls (cover girl, international Playmate and the new playmate of the month) and it’s our very own South African beauties who grace the pages. Not only that, but Playboy features award winning articles! Everybody is jumping on the brand wagon because everything about Playboy is sexy, tasteful and classy.

Were you nervous to bare all during the shoot. How was the shooting experience and screening process. Im sure its tough hey? It’s not like they take your clothes off and there you stand. We started with the PR shots which are the clothed ones they use for print and online media. Slowly but surely the wardrobe becomes less and less. I was nervous at first because the thought of posing for Playboy can be a little intimidating at first, but the team is professional and made me feel very comfortable. By the end of the 4hour long shoot, I was sitting butt-naked on the floor, bbm’ing my friends.

Hows Life post Playboy? Would you say that it has jump started your modelling career? I haven’t been in the industry long at all. I started end of 2010 with small shoots, which lead to music video appearances, to bigger shoots, to the top 100 of Sports Illustrated, to international exposure and eventually Playboy. Then the work really started. I was in demand for shoots, appearances, radio interviews, magazine signings etc. It’s any model’s dream to wake up every day and do what you love. I have done another shoot for Playboy for their latest ad campaign, ‘More than just a centerfold’. I was on Good Hope FM as their ‘Bokkie’ for Bok Fridays, then we started ‘Fantasy Fridays’ and just an all round guest presenter for about 6 months. So yeah, being a Playmate has certainly opened many doors for me but I still had to work for every single thing. Being in Playboy gives you a lot of opportunities but you still have to take each one and run with it. During the Playmate of the Year voting, I ran a great marketing campaign which opened up even more doors for me, regardless of winning the title. Recently Subaru Cape Town came on board and sponsored me with a sick XV, branded and all! Next on my list is to just try new things and show everyone a different side to me, like acting. A cover for Playboy is also on my bucket list.

Parties. Cruises and autographs. How would you say fans have embraced you since you have been a Playmate? The support has been absolutely amazing, honestly! Everyday my Twitter, Facebook, fan page and inbox messages, GROW! I always get great feedback when I post something or when I meet fans. As fun as my work is, I really do it for the fans and supporters. They keep me going and keep me motivated.

Where to from being a Playmate of the month, I know the playmate of the year takes place.What then..meeting Hef in the mansion.:)?As the Playmate of the Year has already been announced earlier this year and she’s lucky enough to visit Hef in August. As for me, I’d love to grow professionally and definitely try my hand at acting and presenting. Working with and for Playboy is my first love, and it’s amazing to know there’s no such thing as a former Playmate. “Once a Playmate, always a Playmate” – Hugh Hefner. As i said earlier, I’d love to be featured in Playboy again. All my fans are requesting for me to be on the cover and I get these requests EVERY day! Who knows what the future holds. The sky is NOT the limit. Reach for the stars!

What advise would you give to any model aspiring to become a Playmate? Visit www.playboycastingcalls.co.za, fill in an entry form and attend a casting call. Just be yourself. Playboy doesn’t want a model. They want ‘the girl next door’, so be fun, spontanious and let them see your fun personality!

What’s a day in the life of Yolandi Malherbe. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? I’m an Executive PA from 8 to 5. Gym after work and if I’m lucky, I can go home and rest. Otherwise I move my meetings and shoots to the evenings. Weekends I have signings, appearances and events to attend. Sometimes I’ll take a day off to do this in the day. I have a cool boss who is very supportive. Somewhere in between I have a relationship too, but luckily everyone in my life is supportive of my dreams. It all sounds hectic, but it took me a while to find the perfect balance between all my responsibilities.

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers? Lots of sleep, water and laughter.

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? I can cook and bake. I’d probably make something with chillies or basil pesto. My two favourite ingredients.

Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry/I phone/smartphone? It would actually be quiet, but I’d die without my phone. I run 3 e-mail accounts, Facebook, Twitter and my fan page from my phone. Not even to mention things like phone calls, sms’s and good old BBM. I’d survive without my phone for one day, but i prefer not to. I don’t work through an agency and I do my own management and bookings, so don’t want to be unprofessional or miss out on work because I didn’t reply quick enough.

What do you prefer on a guy.Boxers or Briefs? If it’s going to be the only thing he’s wearing, then boxers.

Why should anyone visit SA? Regardless of our political drama and crime, we live in a beautiful country where we’re privileged to have variaty. Variations of people, cultures, traditions, food and entertainment. I can probably write a book about ‘reasons to visit SA’. Come see our country, our people, our animals, our shores and Table Mountain!

What would you say is the best place to visit in SA? I love many places in SA and I’ve been to most, but I’d say, come to Cape Town. Apart from the 7th Wonder of the World that you can spot from almost anywhere in Cape Town, we have a crazy night life here, our people are relaxed and there are so much more to do and see! I’ve lived here my whole life and I can’t ever imagine moving away.

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? This idea was actually given to me by a fan and i think the concept is brilliant! I’d love to shoot somewhere tropical with loads of waterfalls and do a 3D shoot! Imagine! If I ever get the opportunity to shoot for Playboy again, I’d use this concept. I think it’s a first for any men’s magazine!

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? I don’t have a specific part on a guy’s body that I like, because not one man is the same. But, I’d have to admit, I’m a legs-girl. A guy with great legs sure has my attention! On me? Well, i’m my own worst critic, but I’d have to say my favourite part of my body, is my boobs. It has never let me down.

What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you? A guy came up to me in a club and he said ‘you have the most beautiful eyes’ and i was like ‘oh dear, here we go’, but i cringed my teeth and said thank you. He then continued ‘are those your own lashes? They’re beautiful’. So at this point I thought the guy was gay because which straight guy notices a girl’s lashes? So i just responded with ‘yes, it’s my own’. And he then said, ‘I don’t believe you’. So i said, ‘well then, touch it and pull if you must. I promise you, they’re real’. By this time, i’m irritated because i wasn’t sure where he was going with this conversation. So he said ‘close your eyes so that i can see’, and so, stupidly, i did. He then kissed me. I quickly pulled away, but still, he’s mission was accomplished.

What’s your favourite fashion brand? For vintage pieces I go to Forever New. For dresses I’d go to YDE. Shoes I go to Aldo or Guess. I’m also SO in love with the Playboy Intimates range at Edgars. I have a few pieces of lingerie and also official Playboy clothing. It’s so cool to wear it AND to actually be a part of the brand too.

Favourite food: Indian cuisine!

Favourite perfume on a guy: Porsche

Favourite Perfume on you:  I can’t choose. I love Kim K by Kim Kardashian. Glow by Jlo and Curious by Britney Spears. I’ve used all of them and I always get compliments when i do. The One by D&G is also pretty awesome.

Favourite clubbing and Hangout? I love Caprice, 31 and Casa Blanca.

Favourite desert: I don’t really have a sweet tooth, but when i do, i go for anything chocolate.

Dream Car: I enjoy every single bit of my Subaru XV, but if I had to choose another dream car, I’d go for a SL65 AMG.

Whats your opinion about Lady Gaga? Absolutely dig her! She’s weird, but she pulls it off. I think she stands out from the rest, which is a tough thing to do nowadays, and her music, and voice, is amazing!

Whats the most outrageous thing you have have ever done? I’m a very impulsive person. I went to Canal Walk a while back and while i was waiting for a movie to start, I walked into a piercing clinic and pierced my nipple. I mean, who does that? hahaha! Other than that, abseiling 120m off Table Mountain was pretty outrageous too.

Are you single? Taken. Sorry boys.

What’s your ideal man? The one i’m with.

If PIM had to take Yolandi on a date, what would we have to do to blow your socks off lol? Take me for pre-drinks at the Whiskey Bar at the Cape Grace Hotel. Then take me to Saigon for Vietnamese food and good wine. Then go clubbing till the sun comes up! Not your average date, but a fun night guaranteed!

Where will we see you next(magazine /publication/tv? :) I’m planning to re-do my entire portfolio this month, so I’ll be shooting with different photographers and trying different styles and concepts. PIM:Kate. Thank you for gracing PIM. . Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? Kate: HI Everyone. My name is Kate Lovemore (how appropriate is my surname) I am born and bred in Durban and love feeling healthy and fit. I enjoy boarding and am very involved in the surfing world as my Man is a Big Wave surfer :) I have a very positive outlook on life and will try and find the fun in many a situation

The MARCH Edition was special and a landmark in SA. Could you have chosen a better month.You the March 2012 Playmate in playboy South Africa. How was the Playboy experience? The Playboy experience has been a lot of fun so far… The shoot was a blast and the company as a whole is full of awesome people who have made me feel like family. There have been the odd negative comments but they are few and far between.

How would you say PLAYBOY SA has taken on in our shores? It seems to have taken off pretty well. everyone has their opinion of the magazine but in general the response is positive. In durban, friends and fans have gone to buy the March edition and its been sold out so thats a great sign.

Were you nervous to bare all during the shoot. How was the shooting experience and screening process. Im sure its tough hey? I was a little nervous but not much at all. I tend to like to bare all when I get the chance and Playboy has been a dream of mine for a long time. The weather on the day of the shoot was magnificent so to dip in the cold Cape Town ocean was refreshing. The key is to feel comfortable in your own body and everyone will feel comfortable in the shooting process :)

Hows Life post Playboy? Would you say that it has jump started your modelling career? It hasnt been too crazy which is great because im a little laid back. I have had to agencies approch me so far so hopefully you will be seeing more of me on the ramp and in Ads

So far the fans have been great. only a hnadful have had some negative comments but each to their own right?I have had quite a large increase in friend requests on FB ha ha I have also had a few requests of fans wanting their magazines signed that they post to me and I post them back

Where to from being a Playmate of the month, I know the playmate of the year takes place.What then..meeting Hef in the mansion.:)? well Im slowly building up my fan base and have PMOY clear in my sights. To win that next year will be an amazing acheivement and I plan on doing so :) Nothing like feeling confident ha ha

What advise would you give to any model aspiring to become a Playmate? Make sure it is something that you really and truly want. you have to make sure you can take the good comments with the bad. People can get nasty but just take it in your stride. You must be proud of what you have acheived and that will radiate in your confidence. Being a Playboy Playmate is an honour and a privedge so remember to act like a lady and treat your Playmate status with integrity. The Playboy brand is a classy one so no need to run around acting skanky ha ha

What’s a day in the life of Kate Lovemore. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? I am an interior designer for my family business (Lovemores Cupboard Shoppe) where we design and manufacture kitchen and bedroom cupboards as well as give advice on paint colour, tiles and san-ware to use. I am also a surf videographer where I spend many a day filming guys surfing and the lifestyle that come with it. Both of my offices are out doors and I wouldnt have it any other way xx

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers? I cant say I have many but a recent beauty tip is quit smoking! I gave up a year ago and the way your skin changes when you give up is amazing! I also run 3 times a week on the beach, bodyboard when I can and hit the gym on most evenings. DRINK LOTS OF WATER and try lay off the sweets (a hard one for me) I am loving using Dermalogica and treat yourself to a facial or a massage once a month hee hee (indulgences)

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? I can cook but im not the best. I like to keep it simple. My favourite dish to cook for Twiggy (my man) and I is Spagetthi otherwise I quite fancy popping down to our local Thai restaurant for a Tom Yung Gung soup and sushi. So if PIM came over i would probably treat you to the latter ha ha

Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry/I phone/smartphone? it would be glorious ha ha. Generally my phone doesnt stop all day from emails to calls to messages. I would probably be a safer driver to ha ha Nolthing like a blonde behind the wheel trying to answer emails..yikes

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why? we have an amzing diverse culture here and our landscape is amazing! I would have to tell people to visit Durban. The weather is always amazing and the sea is warm. If you are a surfer our surf spots are uncrowded. I would have to tell visitors to drive the garden route to Cape Town. I do this drive every year and I am always amazed by the beauty in our country

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? On my body it would have to be my bum or shoulder and neck area. On a guys body it would have to be the sexy side muscles that run down the side of a guys stomach to create a V :) yummy!!

PIM:Yolande. Thank you for gracing PIM. . Firstly tell our readers more about yourself? I am a very easy going, down to earth person, who believe in working hard for the things you want in life. I am a survivor and have been looking out for myself from a young age.

You the February 2012 Playmate in playboy South Africa. How was the Playboy experience? So far it has definitely been worth every moment. It has been a dream come true and has set forth new challenges for me to overcome.

How would you say PLAYBOY SA has taken on in our shores? I think overall it has so far been a great success, but there is still hypocrisy amongst society and misconceptions regarding the brand which we need to work on.

Were you nervous to bare all during the shoot. How was the shooting experience and screening process. Im sure its tough hey? No. It wasn’t the first nude shoot I have done. I was very excited though because being a Playboy Playmate was what I worked for. I think the toughest part after your casting call is the wait to find out if you made it or not. I went for a casting in January 2011 and only found out I got picked for Playmate in October 2011.

Did you choose the Chocolate theme. ? Lindt of Ferreros :) No, the Playboy SA team chooses the theme for the month you represent. Ferreros

Hows Life post Playboy? Would you say that it has jump started your modelling career? Life post Playboy? Its not over yet! My month might be over, but I am still running for Playboy Playmate of the Year.

Where to from being a Playmate of the month, I know the playmate of the year takes place.What then..meeting Hef in the mansion. :) ? Well I hope so, it would be a dream come true. Hef is one of my biggest heroes and it would be the greatest privilege to meet him in person.

What advise would you give to any model aspiring to become a Playmate? I would definitely recommend it, but if you do, you have to do it for yourself.

What’s a day in the life of Yolande Wigget. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? I work a 9 – 11 hour day job. I am a Patent Prosecution Specialist at a Law Firm – basically what that entails is registering any new products for both overseas and local companies.

What are your Health and beauty secrets?Any tips for our readers? I gym a lot or try to. Eat healthy and drink a lot of water (minimum 2 liters a day). Basically if you take good care of yourself, you will look and feel good.

Can you Cook. What would you make PIM for Dinner? I can. Favorite dish to make is lasagna. I can also make a mean roast chicken.

Describe your day if you did not have your Blackberry/I phone/smartphone? That’s any day at work – we don’t have time for phones during working hours. Over weekends, well you’ll probably then find me playing xbox games or relaxing with a book or movie, if I am not off doing Playboy events.

What do you prefer on a guy.Boxers or Briefs? Briefs.

Why should anyone visit SA. ?What would you say is the best place to visit in SA and Why? We have a diversity of cultures – we have it all! I would recommend Cape Town, its probably the most beautiful place in our country.

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? I would love to do something out of the ordinary. Something like an extreme sports shoot or super hero shoot. Location doesn’t matter that much, you make it work for you when you become the character you’re supposed to portray

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? Sexiest part of my body, would have to say my boobs and eyes. Sexiest part of a guys’ body for me would be eyes and arms, of course a sexy ass never hurt anyone

What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you? “Do your legs hurt from running through my dreams all night?”

Did you ever get propositioned by any famous Chap? Uhm…no, not that I can recall.

How would you rate urself as a romantic? Once upon a time I would’ve rated myself high, but reality set in, so not very high. I am somewhat cynical when it comes to love.

Whats your opinion about Lady Gaga? She’s definitely a limited addition….the girls’ got some spunk…

Whats the most outrageous thing you have have ever done? I live for the outrageous…Sun city zip line

Are you single? Yes

What’s your ideal man? Confident, honest, respectful, fun-loving, down to earth, successful. Someone that takes care of himself and the people around him. Someone I can feel safe with and relate to.

If PIM had to take Yolandi on a date. What would we have to do to blow your socks off lol? Being treated with respect goes a long way. Also helps to have good conversation, good food, good music and good company…

What’s a day in the life of Aamirah Jano. How do you pay the Bills, What do you do for a living? Each day is different in my life lol.. well at the moment im studying Law (LLB) .. will be moving on to medicine afterwards… But moneywise i am doing modelling and i run a promotional agency as well..

Your dream shoot…Pick a location, a theme? To shoot with Enrique Iglesias haha! If not a Gucci shoot … or probably a sexy sweaty Jungle look with a Tiger.. somewhere in a beautiful green location far away.. Or on the aeroplanes runway track at the airport… me walking and the plane taking off behind me! awesome! lol … oh theres soo many… my imagination is too much!

Oh and what would you regard as the sexiest part of your body and a guys? Well i think my body part would be my hips..and my hair! I love a guys arms and their pelvic bone is hot!

What was the most bizarre and funny come on line that a guy has used on you? Will You pop my Ghost pop!! (and he had a packet of Ghost pops in his hand!!!) lol like wtf!!
